We have seen a few TV shows/movies where they have had lemonade stands (Ramona and Beezus most recently). Rylee has wanted to have one for a while. But she finally decided to sell water and candy today. She had a nice little setup- she had a sign and a chair for her customers to sit on. I told her we live on a busy street, so not many people would probably stop. But she said people go by on their bikes. So she waited a few minutes and then said she wanted to call Grandma. So we did and she and Grandpa came. She told them it was $1 for two waters. Then they just gave her some change for some smarties. Grandma and Grandpa were the only customers (well Matt also threw in a dollar) but she made $2.65! Hopefully she got it out of her system! Grandparents sure are great!
When we're there, my kids will provide the bread! But, they are in the door-to-door sales business!
ReplyDeleteThat is too cute! I used to do a lemonade stand with a neighbor friend growing up. I can still remember doing it and loving it. But I can't remember if we actually made any money! hahaha! Glad she made a little!
