Sledding

Adam and Lindsay talked me into taking the kids sledding. I'm so glad they did- we had so much fun. The kids hadn't ever been and I hadn't been since I was a kid. But we do have two sleds and the girls have snow pants, so it worked out perfectly. I wish Matt could have been there, but without him there I was able to wear some of his snowmobiling gear!

All ready to go- it takes longer to get ready than to actually sled I think!

Ashlyn was giving Noah hugs and kisses in the car on the way over-
I don't know who loved it more- Ashlyn or Noah!

Going up the hill.

Noah going down the hill.

Cory and Rylee going down- Macie cheering them on.

Lindsay, Ashlyn, Adam, Jacob, and Macie waiting for their turns.

Macie decided she didn't need a sled-
she just went down on her bum!

Ashlyn's turn to go with Cory.

Ashlyn loved it!

Cory took both of the girls.

Yes, that's me- it even took me a minute to realize who that was when I was going through the pictures. I don't see a lot of pictures of me anyway- but sledding- that's even crazier!

Rylee gave us a push.

All of us going down together.
Thanks, Cory, for taking pictures!

Snow angels!

We will definitely have to go again when Matt can go with us. The park we went to is right by our house and is perfect for sledding!

Museum with Cousins

We had so much fun at the museum last week so we had to take Lindsay and her family too. Jacob and Cory in the Discovery Room.

Playing in the log cabin.

Rylee, Lindsay, and Grandma

Noah and Rylee in their mountain man outfits.
Macie didn't want to dress up- she's a California girl.

Ready to go through the cave.

Ashlyn didn't want to get on this last time-
I guess being with Jacob made it better.

Going through the cave.

Grandpa helping them through the cave.

Cory even fit!

All of the grandkids.

Ashlyn loves her cousins!

This isn't the best picture- hopefully there's a better one on somebody else's camera.
We were pretty much the only ones there- what a perfect time to go!

Birthday Girl

I just can't get enough of my little birthday girl. She had cupcakes and balloons for her actual birthday. I wish I had the balloons for the party, but I would have had to get them on Christmas Eve and I had other things on my mind. But oh well, she was excited anyway!

Christmas

I got a new camera for Christmas (I opened it Christmas Eve so I could use it on Christmas). This is one of the first pictures that Matt took while trying it out. I'm still getting used to it- I've had my other one for 6 years and I loved it!

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Oma's.

Rylee and Ashlyn were the only kids who wanted to be in the Christmas story (Isaiah and Gabriel were there too but didn't want to participate). So Rylee got to be Mary and Ashlyn was Joseph who turned into an angel. Ashlyn really wanted to hold the baby, but Rylee kept telling her not to touch baby Jesus. I have some funny pictures of them fighting over the baby, but I just posted the nice one.

Dumping out the stockings.

Rylee wants to be a "doctor dog" (vet) when she grows up, so Santa brought her this dog that you can take care of like a vet. It comes with doctor stuff and it barks and whimpers.
I'm glad Santa didn't bring her a real dog to take care of!!

Ashlyn was just happy with opening presents!
She didn't really know what was going on, but she liked it!

Opening presents at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Santa brought the girls this doll stuff. Grandma gave Ashlyn this doll which she would not put down most of the day. She was so cute to watch with it- so sweet!

Rylee got a Lalaloopsy too.

Oma and Opa gave the girls these blankets- Ashlyn got the princess one and Rylee got the dog one, but they traded. I guess they'll just share them.

We had a great Christmas and hope that you all did too.
