Cruise Day 1- Off We Go!

Don picked us up to drive to Salt Lake for our flight at 12:50 AM (Yes, it was in the middle of the night!!). We drove down with Don, Grandma, and Grandpa Blatter. It was dark but the kids didn't want to sleep. We got to the airport and waited awhile there before boarding.

Once we got on the plane and the lights went out, Rylee went to sleep. But Ashlyn fought for a little while before finally falling asleep. A few hours later we had a layover in Atlanta. That airport is HUGE- we had to ride a subway to get across the airport to our gate.

Then we flew to Ft. Lauderdale. It was a little crazy, but we finally got on the ship there. We ate lunch and explored a little bit before sailing off. We were exhausted but excited to go.

I realized I forgot the stroller when we got out of the car in Salt Lake, so this was how Ashlyn got around in the airports most of the time. By the end Rylee also rode like this.

Stephan and Lucy had their stroller, so Ashlyn wanted to lay underneath in the basket. Funny girl!

Ashlyn is ready for her first flight.

This was Rylee's second airplane trip- she went to Hawaii when she was about 18 months old. So she was a pro!

The view of Ft. Lauderdale from the ship.

On the ship.

Bradley, Mercedes, and Rylee walking down to our rooms. Ours was right next to theirs. They were such good friends the whole time- and Ashlyn too!

We're on our way- Florida in the background.
