Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

Today is my Grandpa Ludlow's birthday.
He is 84 today.
Unfortunately we aren't able to see him today,
so this picture is from last year.

We love you, Grandpa!

Mother's Day

We had a great day visiting grandmas and great-grandmas on Mother's Day.

First we had dinner at Myrt's where we gave Grandma her gift.

But I think she loved her card more!
It was a singing card that sang "Mickey Mouse March."
It was great!
The girls were way excited for her to open it!

Rylee opened it several times to hear it sing!

Snuggling with Grandpa under the blanket-
Ashlyn loves blankets!

Then we went to Grandma Blatter's for dessert.
Ashlyn found another snuggle companion-
She ran right up to Grandma Blatter
and got under the blanket!

Rylee was just as excited to give Oma her singing card-
with Tinker Bell on it that sang "You Can Fly!"

We love you all- thanks for sharing your day with us!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, especially my own and my mother-in-law, Helma. I am very blessed to have them in my life. But I have to say that I am the most blessed of all mothers to get to be the mom to the two greatest girls in the world! I love them so much and they make my life so happy and wonderful. They are the best!

Carter

The girls have a friend named Carter, who they play with at Oma's house. They love him, especially Rylee. Both Rylee and Ashlyn love to play with him and get a smile on their faces when they talk about him. It's so cute! He came over to our house to play for a little while, and the girls were in heaven! He really is a cute, nice kid! And he's an older man- he's in kindergarten!

Running Through the Sprinkler

Yes, I know I'm crazy! I let Rylee run through the sprinkler when it was barely 60 degrees outside. But we were playing outside and then she went inside and came out with her swimsuit on. She went to all that work to run through the sprinkler, so I couldn't say no. But she wasn't out for 3 minutes total with it on, so I don't think there was any harm! And she didn't get too wet either, but she had fun! Isn't that what's important?!? And give us a break, it's May and we are still waiting for spring to come, so 60 degrees is a heatwave for us!!

Picnic

Don't be fooled- it was not very warm outside. I don't think it was even 60 degrees and it was very windy, but the girls had to jump. And yes, they are wearing snow pants! I let them jump while I was making dinner and when I called them in to eat, Ashlyn asked if they could eat outside. So I couldn't resist. They ate on the tramp and I think they ate better out there than if they were inside. So maybe we'll eat out there more often! Crazy girls! The funniest thing was that it was Ashlyn's idea!

A week after Easter, Rylee still has bunnies on her mind! She made these herself and she made Cory draw her a face. She actually wanted the face last week, but we never got around to it.

Rylee drew this Mr. Potato Head and the pieces for it. She even drew dots where the pieces were supposed to go. She also drew dotted lines for me to follow as I cut out the pieces and you can also see the scissors she drew so I would know to cut there. She is so funny and very detailed with her artwork. She noticed the scissors on other papers we've cut out and remembered.

Ashlyn took a picture of Rylee.
