Tubes

Kaylie had her tube surgery this morning.  Everything went fine- I've heard it's harder for the parents than the child and I think that's true!  The doctor said he removed a lot of gunk- one ear was bulging with stuff.  So we know this had to be done.  Hopefully she returns to her happy, normal self.  She has actually been pretty happy through it all.  Nighttime was definitely the worst.  But she was usually happy during the day.
The big girls had a sleepover at Oma's so they and Kaylie had a happy reunion this afternoon!  Kaylie was so excited to see them- she gave them lots of kisses!  Kaylie is the kissiest baby- I love it!  She gives the best, wettest kisses with her mouth wide open!

She loves her new trick- clapping!
She also loves to give high fives!

Opa's Birthday

 Yesterday was Opa's birthday!
We gave him this thing to roll under the car.
Matt, Opa, and Stephan put it together.

We hope you had a happy birthday, Opa!

In-N-Out Baby

Kaylie finally got to wear her In-N-Out onesie to In-N-Out!
I had an appointment in Salt Lake again so we went there to eat.
Kaylie loves it- she is always so happy there!
(It's probably because she is so happy to be out of the car at this point,
but we're saying it's because she loves In-N-Out!)

She even got her own bun!

Mother's Day

I am the luckiest mom in the world!
I can't believe I get to be the mom for these three wonderful girls.
They bring so much love and joy to my life.

I am also lucky to have the best mom!

Rylee made me this frame at school.
Remember when I blogged about her class making something with the Home Depot guys?
Well, here it is!
No wonder she didn't tell me about it- I kept asking when she got to bring it home!

So she nailed and painted it all by herself.

 My favorite little red head!
The poor baby has to get tubes in her ears on Friday-
I hope it will help her feel better and that Matt, Kaylie, and I
will get some much needed sleep!

And I have the best mother-in-law!

I can't forget one of the best grandmas- Grandma Blatter.
My grandma was out of town so we didn't get to see her today,
but she's the other best grandma!

Ashlyn painted this card for me at preschool and gave me these beautiful flowers!

I am so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful mothers and grandmothers.
I love that my kids get to know so many wonderful grandparents and great-grandparents.
And I love my beautiful girls that gave me the great opportunity to be a mother.
It's the best thing in the whole world!

Dance Recital

Ashlyn had stage fright- she didn't do her first dance.
She just stood there- the whole time.

Ashlyn's first dance- Bubilee- ballet routine.

Yes, she is the only one standing in this picture.

Rylee, however, is an old pro.
This was her 3rd recital, so she knew just what to do.

Rylee's first dance- Let it Grow- jazz routine.

Matt and I had a talk with Ashlyn after her first dance to see what was up.  She was sad because she couldn't see us.  So we showed her where we were and told her that Oma, Grandma, Grandpa, and Cousin Jerika all came to see her dance.   After that, she did awesome!

This was Ashlyn's second dance- Peanut Butter Jelly Time- hip-hop routine.

Rylee's second dance- Fireflies- ballet routine

Rylee's third dance- hip hop routine- I can't remember the song title.

Ashlyn knew right where we were at the end.
This was the last dance of the night and Ashlyn's third routine- Footloose- jazz routine.

Waiting for the trophies together in the back row.
So cute!

Both girls did such a great job and earned those trophies!
I am so proud of my little dancers!

(It's definitely harder with two dancers- I was always running in and out, changing costumes and making sure they were lined up on time.  It was quite exhausting, but so worth it!  At least I have a few years until I have three dancers!  If the others are still doing it, I guess!)

Ashlyn's first trophy- she was SO excited, to say the least!

Ashlyn was literally undressing in the hall- we had to stop her so she wouldn't be naked for this picture!
She was so ready to be done and we were all feeling the same way!

This is not from the dance recital, but it was in the batch of pictures so I decided to throw it in.  Edgemont had a "Fun Run" on Thursday.  The first graders went out before the kindergartners, so I didn't think I would see her, but I did.  But I didn't have my camera, so I had to take a picture at home.  She ran 10 laps- I think I only did 7 or 8!

Ashlyn with her new Ballerina Barbie and dance shirt.
Rylee wouldn't let me take anymore pictures of her.

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

My Grandpa Ludlow's 86th birthday is today!
We love you Grandpa!
