Ashlyn's First Talk

 Even though it doesn't seem like she's old enough, Ashlyn gave her first talk in Primary yesterday.  She was so excited.  When I told her on Saturday that she got to give a talk the next day, she said, "I can't wait!" 

She got a new dress for the occasion and she picked out her new sandals.  And she requested buns in her hair.  Oma and Grandma came to watch her.  When it was time for her talk, she didn't want me or Matt to help her.  She insisted that Grandma did.  So I just got to watch too!  She did a great job!

Tulips

Our tulips are finally blooming!

 The girls have been checking every day waiting for them to bloom.  

So they were very excited to see flowers!

 

At the River

 We had to take some books back to the library and it was a beautiful day, so we decided to to drive around the river.  Rylee reminds me of my sister, Lindsay, when it comes to feeding the ducks and the geese.  She gets right up to them and isn't scared at all.  Ashlyn is more like me- she likes doing it from a distance!  It was kind of nice because I think people had been feeding them all day so they weren't all surrounding us. 

 We saw a cute little family.

Bike Ride

 We took Rylee's new bike for a ride to the school.  

 They have a bike path that Rylee rode around a few times.  I walked with Ashlyn around a couple of times.  Ashlyn was pretty tired on the ride back home, but she made it!  I was pretty tired myself, but it was good exercise for all of us.  We love the nice, warm weather and have to take advantage when it's here!

Homework

 Ashlyn was so excited to do "homework" with Daddy!

And then Rylee wanted to do some too- 

Probably won't be as fun when they actually have to do it!!

New Bike

 Rylee outgrew her little bike, so we decided it was time to buy her a new, bigger bike.  My goal is to teach her how to ride without training wheels this summer.  I'm not sure how, but that's the goal!

 And we have our slide now- Matt just has to connect it.  

So the girls were very excited about that.

 Ashlyn gets Rylee's old bike- which those two fought over all the time.  

So she's excited that it's just hers now.  

And when she's Rylee's age, she'll get her own new bike too.

(It has been very windy here and I did do her hair that morning, 

but she has been taking it out at the daycare- the little stinker!)

Library Card

Rylee got her very own library card today!!!

She was very excited- she also got a pencil and a sticker!

Now we can't wait until summer- 

we go to the library a lot in the summer to check out books, 

get prizes from the reading program, 

and for story time. 

Easter Part 2

 In the evening we went to Oma's 

and the kids got to find some Easter treats hidden outside. 

And they also got to play with cousins- their favorite thing to do!
