Halloween

We started trick-or-treating at 3:30 and didn't get home until 8:00. Matt went with us to our church, then I just took the girls to a trunk-or-treat in the KMart parking lot, the mall, my parents' trunk-or-treat, Myrt's house, and Oma's house. They got so much candy! We had a lot of fun too!

Rylee came up with the idea of posing like Jessie.

Ready to go trick-or-treating!

At our ward's trunk-or-treat.
We were there on time, but they weren't ready yet.
So we went home for half an hour and waited.
When we went back, most of the candy was gone-
so they didn't get much there!

Trick-or-treat, Grandma!

Ashlyn sneaking a treat.
She had a hard time carrying her basket because it was so full!

Look what I got!

Snake River Landing Trick-or-Treat

Two little witches

Fell asleep waiting to go.

The only pictures from the trick-or-treat.
I took them while holding Ashlyn so she wasn't in any!

One of my kids at school made me this spider-
the girls loved playing with it!

Posing with the pumpkin- we didn't get to carving our real pumpkins!
Ashlyn had to have her baby in the picture too!

Dancing on the table with Rylee's Jessie boots.

I wasn't planning on going trick-or-treating until tomorrow at our ward's trunk-or-treat, but Rylee's cousin, Isaiah, was going somewhere and he told Rylee about it. So she really wanted to go. So I looked to see when the Snake River Landing one was and it was until 6. I had visiting teachers coming at 4, so we were going to leave after that. They only stayed for about 10 minutes because we were all dressed up in our costumes and knew we were leaving, but Rylee fell asleep! So we waited until about 5:30 to leave our house and make it by 6. It was just me and the girls. We got there about 5:45 and some people told us the wait was 45 minutes to get in and there might not be any candy left. I didn't want to stay, but Rylee really wanted candy so we stayed. It's a good thing it wasn't too cold or we would have left for sure. So we waited about 20 minutes before going in and there was still plenty of candy- some people were even giving us handfuls because they had a lot left and we were almost the last people. So I think it worked out better! We didn't get done until 7, but we had a good time. I did have to carry Ashlyn the whole time though- along with my purse, the camera bag, Ashlyn's witch hat, and her treat bag. So that's why there aren't many pictures- my hands were full. They are still kind of sore from holding her for over an hour! Rylee really enjoyed it- now we are looking forward to getting more tomorrow! Since when did Halloween become a multi-day event?!?

Good Mama

Ashlyn loves babies. Even though we have about 20 at our house, she insisted on taking this baby and the carseat from Oma's. She was so cute carrying it around. She wraps her babies in blankets and tells me if they're sleeping and to be quiet. She's such a good little mama!

Halloween Dance Party

Rylee had a Halloween party at her dance class today. She was very excited to wear her costume and get candy. She didn't like wearing her hat- it's not easy to dance in a hat. But she sure looked cute! Thanks, Mom, for doing most of the work- and Matt for helping too. It turned out great! Now we really can't wait for Halloween!

Primary Program

Today was our primary program- Rylee's first. She had her part memorized, but she wanted my help anyway. This is what she said, "Jesus performed a miracle when he fed 5,ooo people with five loaves of bread and two fish." She did a good job! She gets to give a talk next week- she loves talking in the microphone. But I don't like writing talks!

Ready for Halloween

Rylee is especially excited for Halloween this year. She has decorated the outside of our front door with Halloween pictures she's colored and cut out. I think she had to start decorating the door because we're almost out of wall space inside with all her wonderful drawings and pictures. Grandma Blatter gave the girls pumpkins from her garden on Rylee's birthday- Rylee is very excited to carve them. Rylee was in a great picture mood- she actually wanted me to take her picture. She even had to hold her "scary doll" that she got for her birthday from Aunt Erin. She loves that thing! Ashlyn, on the other hand, was not in a good mood.

I put this one on for you, Erin!
I told you Ashlyn was not too happy!
