Truck

Rylee and Ashlyn love playing in Matt's truck and going for rides in it. This time they crawled in the back and through the windows and all sorts of crazy things. Then Matt took them for a ride down the road and saw some ponies. They can't wait to take me to see the ponies today after Matt is done working.

Sandbox

Matt has been wanting to make a sandbox for the girls for a long time- and the girls have been wanting it too. They love playing in the sandbox at Oma's. So Matt finally made one- and the girls absolutely love it. They could play in it all day- last night they were in it for more than an hour. I think this is where they'll be most of the summer!

Rylee and Ashlyn even got to help their daddy get the sand and dump it out.
It was pretty cold that day, so that's why Ashlyn is in her winter coat!

Shell Beach

So here are the last pictures of our trip- at Shell Beach. Matt, Rylee, and I just went to this one Sunday afternoon. Ashlyn was taking a nap. This one freaked me out- we climbed rocks and saw living creatures. Not my favorite things!! I wish Matt had better companions for this place- he loved it. He even brought some hermit crabs home for Lindsay and Adam.

When we were there he said he should have been a marine biologist. Maybe he still can- can we live with you, Lindsay?!? Just kidding!

But we had a great time in California- looking back at all the pictures reminds me how much fun we had. I'm not the best traveler- I stress out way too much, but I'm glad I take lots of pictures- it helps me forget the crazy times and just remember the good. Thanks to everybody for putting up with me and making this a wonderful vacation!!!

Matt found a couple of crabs-
I took this right after one snapped at him-
or whatever crabs do!

This is one of the crabs he took to Lindsay.
Are they still alive, Linds?

Pismo Beach

This is where we had family pictures taken. We didn't play around too much- it was pretty cold! So here is a sneak peak at some of the pictures- Lindsay's friend took them and I think she's still working on them. After pictures we ate at the Splash Cafe and had clam chowder- yum!

Montana de Oro

This beach different from the rest, but just as fun. Actually the kids probably had the most fun here. They could play in the water and climb rocks. I think Matt enjoyed it too- he loves to explore!

Avila Beach

This was the first of four beaches we went to. It was a little cool, but Ashlyn wanted to put on her swimming suit and jump right in the water. We mostly just played in the sand and some of us walked to the end of the pier- which was a long walk!
