Riding Bikes

The girls love riding their bikes in the driveway. They go around and around the truck. Ashlyn especially loves the big bike with training wheels. She does a really good job pedaling and turning. It's funny to just watch her go- she can go for quite a while. She doesn't seem big enough to ride a bike! Sometimes I have to give her a little push, but then she goes again. Rylee does a good job too. I guess we need to get her another bike so she can learn to ride without training wheels. Then Ashlyn can still ride the one with training wheels for another couple of years.

Bear Lake Day 3

Thursday was our last day going to the lake. But since Ashlyn woke up in the middle of the night with a fever we were only there for a couple of hours. I think she was exhausted and dehydrated from being outside so much the day before. She didn't want to do much- so there aren't very many pictures either! We did get one boat ride in though with Stephan and his family. Rylee was more than happy to go back to the condo to just hang out too- we played way too hard the day before. So while Ashlyn took a nap, Rylee watched movies and I actually read a book! Even thought we had a good time at the lake, it was also nice to just relax inside too!

We went back in the evening to get our stuff- we had planned on going back earlier, but it didn't work out that way. I think the girls wanted to stay longer- they were ready to play again, but everybody else was leaving too. But we had a great time!

Bear Lake Day 2

Wednesday was our first full day at Bear Lake. And we were at the lake most of the day- from about 10 AM until about 7 PM. Ashlyn fought sleep and didn't take a nap. Both girls just played all day (we paid for it later, though!). But they had a great time. They both loved the boat. As soon as we got there in the morning, Matt's Aunt Diane offered to go with the girls on the tube. They didn't really know her- Ashlyn hadn't ever met her before- so I was a little surprised that they went with her, but they loved the ride and Aunt Diane too! Ashlyn liked the ride more than Rylee- that was Rylee's first and last ride, but Ashlyn went three more times!!! I even went a few times after watching the girls do it! Rylee didn't like getting sprayed in the face though so she only rode once.

So after I saw how much Ashlyn loved it,
I thought I'd take a ride and she wanted to go again.

Then Ashlyn and I went with Angie and Graham. I'm telling you- Ashlyn couldn't get enough. Part of it I think was that she knew she was getting out of a nap! But mostly she's a little daredevil. I think she'll be my roller coaster buddy in the future!

Matt caught a few fish for Rylee and Graham. We brought them home and Rylee wants to put them in our big fish tank. They are pretty little though. But she also found some rocks to put in their home- she said one was a chair, a toilet, a sink, and I can't remember what the others were, but she thought they needed furniture!

Graham finally warmed up to Matt a little bit- after 2 1/2 years!!!
Matt couldn't be happier!
