This Weekend

Grandma and Grandpa Blatter celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary
Friday night with an open house at their house.
The girls had lots of fun playing with their cousins and Matt's cousins' kids (second cousins?).

Ashlyn pretended to have braces with this safety pin.
She had been singing about braces in the car earlier-
I'm not sure where this idea came from.

Oma's birthday was Saturday, but we celebrated with her today.
Again, the girls loved playing with cousins!

Kaylie is always getting in position to crawl, but has not really crawled yet.
I'm thinking it won't be too long!

Here she is screaming- her favorite thing to do.
And she has quite the high-pitched scream!

She seems to move a little when she falls and gets back up.
And she can sure turn quickly if she sees something she wants!

8 Months

Kaylie turned 8 months old yesterday when we were in Salt Lake.
It's gone by so fast!
She's so much fun.

I'm still nursing her, which is crazy considering I only nursed the others until 4 1/2 months.  So this has been a new experience for me, but I love it!  I'm thinking if I can just make it through the next couple of months of school, I should be able to make it until she's a year old!  We'll see what happens though!

She still wakes up 2-3 times a night.  She has another ear infection- it seems like she's just had one that's lasted a couple of months!  Every time she gets better she gets another one.  I hope spring will bring an end to that.  She's actually pretty good even when she's sick- but she doesn't want to sleep at night.

She still loves real food- she eats more than Ashlyn it seems!
She's close to crawling- she would rather pull herself up to stand instead of crawl though.
She loves sitting in the cart at the store.  And when she does people always comment on her beautiful red hair!
I love my little redhead!

Salt Lake

I had another eye doctor's appointment in Salt Lake yesterday.  It was at 9:20 AM, so I didn't really want to wake up at 4 or 5 in the morning to get ready.  So my parents, my kids, and I stayed in a hotel Sunday night.  We swam Sunday night and hung out in the hotel the rest of the night.  The girls and I had a hard time sharing a bed.  I'm used to a king bed and Rylee is used to a queen all to herself!  So three of us sharing a queen was quite the experience! All Rylee wanted to do was wake up and eat the hotel breakfast.  She asked every couple of hours. Finally Kaylie wouldn't go back to sleep about 6, so I took her and Rylee down to breakfast. We woke up a little earlier than a normal day- so that wasn't fun!

We were at the doctor until 1- way too long! I had to get a shot in my eye (through under my eye- not straight in my eyeball this time) and then I have to go back for a checkup in a couple of months.  Hopefully this shot will work because the doctor wants to give me a shot in the eye if it doesn't.  But both times I've had a shot in my eye, my retina has detached.  So I'm not letting that happen again.  Chances are it will detach again and I will have to have surgery.  So I waited forever at the doctor and I didn't get very good news.  All we did after was go to the mall for an hour and then eat at In-n-Out and then drive home.

My parents gave Kaylie an In-n-Out onesie for Christmas so I was excited to take her picture in it there, but she pooped it on the way to the doctor. So she will get another chance to wear her onesie if she doesn't outgrow it by May!

This was Kaylie's first time in a hotel- she did ok.
She actually slept in the crib, which is better than the other girls!
The water in the pool was freezing, so we mostly stayed in the hot tub.
 It wasn't too hot.
Rylee did jump into the cold pool a few times though.

Sunshine

The snow has finally melted in our yard!
It's only like 50 degrees, but that's warm to us!

 Kaylie loved to bounce!

We love spring!

Dance Performance

The girls had a dance performance at Bonneville High School- where I went to school.
Next is their recital in May, I think.

Out to Eat

We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.  I just happened to have my camera because the girls had a dance performance right after.  (That's why they have buns in their hair.)

Kaylie sat at the table like a big girl and ate most of the time- she loved it!
(I had also put her in the seat in the cart at Target earlier and she thought she was in heaven!
So she was really a big girl all day!)

She loved the rolls and mashed potatoes!

 So did the big girls!
